Accounts Restriction on Users

Why it exists

In a busy accounting team, posting to the wrong account is one of the most common and expensive mistakes. Instead of relying on training alone, this app limits what each user can pick in the first place.

What it does

• Chart of accounts — shows only the allowed accounts or types
• Customer invoices — only allowed accounts on invoice lines
• Vendor bills — same restriction on the purchase side
• Journal entries — only allowed accounts can be selected
• No shortcuts around it — users can't create an account of a different type from the invoice or chart of accounts

How to use it

1. Open the user's settings and choose the accounts or account types they're allowed to use.
2. Log in as that user: invoices, bills, entries and the chart of accounts now show only what's allowed.
